Waitlists and Ordering

The waitlist is currently closed.

As Olann has grown over the years I’ve tried to adapt to changes in business and demand. Currently I open for orders on the 1st of every month, when I accept as many orders as I can comfortably knit in one month. The competition for these few available spaces every month can be high, and so there are sometimes customers who are unable to place an order when the shop opens.

I have decided to open a Waitlist system for those customers who don’t necessarily mind when their item will be knit, and who have either failed in the past to secure an order when the shop opens, or who would rather not try to place an order during that short opening window.

I will endeavour to knit 1 or 2 orders from this list a month, time permitting. So you could have your order knit quickly, or it could take a couple of months for me to find the time to get to your order. Here are the terms of the Waitlist:

1 - The Waitlist is simply placing your name, email and the item/colour you desire, on a list for me to work from. You will be asked to place your order and pay when I contact you.

2 - I will contact you directly when I am able to knit your request, and at this time I will let you know the timeline for knitting your item.

3 - You will have 48 hours to place your order once I have contacted you, so please provide a current e-mail address that you check regularly. Also make sure emails from Olann do not enter your spam folder. If 48 hours passes without the order being placed, I will remove your name from the Waitlist and offer the spot to another customer.

4 - Some colours and styles may sell out or be discontinued. So if you are set on a specific style or colour, placing an order on the 1st of the month is a better option. If orders are placed at shop openings, and an item or colour subsequently sells out, I cannot honour your waitlisted request.

5 - The Waitlist may close from time to time if it I reach my maximum capacity.

6 - The Waitlist is not a guarantee that I will be able to knit your order, but a way for me to hopefully manage customer expectations better.

7 - If you place an order on the 1st of the month, I will remove your name from the Waitlist if the item you have ordered matches the item you have requested on the Waitlist.
