You've Got To Start Somewhere

I’ll be honest and say I’ve considered starting a blog for a long time, but my to-do list is long and I didn’t think adding another job to the list would be a good idea. But the idea has simmered, and today I was asked again if I had a blog, a question that has been asked many times. It seems maybe some people might be interested to know a bit more about me and my business. And I like to write. I like to tell stories. And so today I’m letting go of the fears that swirl when I think about putting it all out there, and committing.

I’m not going to set goals for posting every week. I’m not going to promise to talk about knitting all the time. I’m good at talking about my life, and so that’s what I’ll do, when the times are right. And because my life evolves a great deal around my work, there is a good chance there will be a lot of knit-talk. And since this is my knitwear website, that makes sense. But I’m also a heart-on-my-sleeve kind of person. And an emotional human. And I like to take walks, and read recipe books. I like to listen to podcasts and watch TV. And feel big feelings. And life isn’t so easy sometimes. And I like to tie life into what I make. So there is a chance you’ll read about lots of things, not just knitting and design and making. So I hope that’s okay.

This is the first post. But I’m working on the Real First Post. The one where I tell you about a knit vest. Which is really a story about life.
