Ella was born from my daydreams during my almost daily walks to Ella Beach in Sooke. Influenced by the wool, and inspired by the water, the sand and the stones. Ella is a classic raglan design, elevated by subtle details, like it’s beautifully formed crew neck, and long hem and cuff, perfect for a little turn-up. The sweater is generous in its size, and has a longer silhouette than most Olann designs. The low raglan armpit allows ample room for layering underneath. The sleeve is tapered, but still generous, with a snug cuff. Perfectly oversized, incredibly comfortable.

Knit using pure new wool from Donegal Yarns, the wool is strong and traditional. One strand of mohair is held with the wool to add a touch of softness and extra durability. Ella is warm, versatile, classic and timeless, and will soon become your most favoured go-to layer. It is warm, but not heavy, so perfect for almost any occasion.

Ella is knit on my smallest needle yet, which means more stitches, more rows and more time to create. But there is a refinement in the details that the small needle allows, which means it is worth the effort.
